Huntington Beach RACES will provide logistical communication support for the Huntington Beach Police Department April 19 – 20, 2008. The Police Department is participating in the Baker to Vegas 24th Annual “Challenge Cup Relay” that weekend. This communication support is provided as an approved EOC exercise of HB RACES communications preparedness and an opportunity to strengthen working relationships with Police Department personnel. The communication support will include:

• Radio communications to Race Management to assist in any emergency medical response required on the race venue.
• Real-time follow van GPS location available on any internet connected PC
• Radio communications net over the entire 20-stage course
• Las Vegas Hilton HB Team Suite communications station
• Pahrump relay communications station
• Dedicated follow van communications station
• Mobile ‘Next Runner’ Shadow communicators
