Huntington Beach RACES will be conducting our ARRL nationally sponsored Field Day overlooking the Ocean using the call sign Whiskey 6 Ocean. All HBRACES are encouraged to attend this very special event. There will be HF radios setup for all to use along with mini-workshops on antennas, emergency power and AD6TN Communication Response Vehicle.

The stated objective of Field Day is to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 30, 17 and 12-meter bands) and in doing so to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. A premium is placed on developing skills to meet the challenges of emergency preparedness as well as to acquaint the general public with the capabilities of Amateur Radio.

Parking will be onsite on a first come basis. Additional parking in the number blocks across PCH and meter parking on PCH.

HBFD Breakfast donuts... CERT Lunch and BBQ Dinner.
