HB RACES Welcomes Brevyn Mettler

HB RACES welcomes Brevyn Mettler to Huntington Beach and his new position as the EOC Administrative Aid. Brevyn was born in Los Angeles and attended high school and college Bakersfield, California. He joined the military directly out of High School and served eight years between Active Army, Army Reserves and the National Guard. He was activated after September 11, 2001 for Operation Noble Eagle, and was assigned to Desert Chemical Weapons Depot, Utah, for homeland security. It was during this time that he became interested in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. After completing his deployment, he finished his Bachelor’s in Political Science with a minor in Terrorism and went on to complete a Master’s in Public Administration from CSU, Bakersfield. He is excited about the new position and is ready to get involved. Brevyn's quote for this week, "I love Huntington Beach and am happy to call it my new home. I am looking forward to a long career in with the Huntington Beach Fire Department." Brevyn is already studying for his ham ticket and expects to get licensed early next year.
